What it is
Sorbitan oleate is made from sorbitol and oleic acid, the main fatty acid of olive and sunflower oil. It sits mainly in the oil phase, so it is normally combined with a more water-loving emulsifier such as a polysorbate to build a balanced system.

Stabilises emulsions and cleansing oils
