What it is
Jujube, or Chinese red date, is a small fruit long used in traditional Korean and Chinese medicine and cooking. Its extract contains sugars, vitamin C, flavonoids and polysaccharides. It is used in K-beauty formulations for a nourishing, hydrating effect.

The fruit's polysaccharides bind water and its flavonoids show antioxidant activity in the lab. Published human cosmetic trials are scarce.
