Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer
No meaningful concern for most people; irritation is possible but rare.
Also written as: Lubrajel · Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Cross-Polymer
What it is
This copolymer is a cross-linked network of acrylic acid and glycerin acrylate that swells in water into a soft hydrogel. It is nearly always supplied as a ready-made gel with glycerin and water, and is used in masks and essences for a wet, cushioned slip and durable surface hydration.
What it does well
Delivers lasting surface hydration with no oily residue
The glycerin held in the polymer network stays on the skin surface longer than free glycerin, which is why hydrogel raw materials are favoured in lightweight, oil-free formats.
