What it is
Ormenis multicaulis, also catalogued as Cladanthus mixtus, is a Moroccan member of the daisy family that is not a true chamomile. Its oil is dominated by santolina alcohol and various terpenes and has a fresh herbaceous-woody scent. It is a niche fragrance material with little published cosmetic safety literature compared with Roman or German chamomile.

It is used for scent in natural perfumery. Claims of chamomile-like soothing properties are borrowed from unrelated plants and are not supported for this species.
