Five sachets and one tub

Garnier face masks

Six masks: five sheets and a single wash-off tub, and the tub is most of what there is to say about the price. It sits at an estimated 19 cents an application against €1.65 to €1.85 for the five sachets, which is a spread of nearly ten times across six products - and the cheapest figure is also the only worked-out one.

Prices are indicative, captured once from the source recorded on each product page, and they drift. 1 of the 6 per-use figures are estimated from pack size at a typical application rather than counted off a sheet count.

This is not Garnier’s page and it is not affiliated with them. It is every Garnier mask we hold, read from the back of the pack - the name is used to identify the products, and nothing here is paid for, sponsored or an affiliate link.

The short read

  • The €0.19 is estimated from pack size at a typical application rather than counted off a pack, and it is the only estimated figure on this shelf. The five sheets are counted, and all five sit within 20 cents of each other.

  • None of the six is fragrance-free and all six print Parfum, against 117 of the 215 across the catalogue. Three of the six break an allergen out by name.

  • Ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate is on 4 of the 6 lists here and on 7 of the 215 overall. Hydroxyacetophenone is on 5 here and 66 overall.

  • Five of the six carry no essential oil and five are free of a drying alcohol. Three of the six are clear of the pregnancy flag and two are recorded vegan.

  • The encyclopaedia has an entry for a median of 68.5% of each list here, the second lowest of the nine shelves - so more of these labels than most is printed in names the site cannot yet decode.

What these lists print that others do not

Not the most common ingredients - water is on nearly every list ever written and tells you nothing about who formulated the mask. These are the entries that appear far more often here than across the 215 masks as a whole, counted by encyclopaedia entry rather than by printed name. A shelf this size makes coincidences cheap, so nothing appears below that is on fewer than four of these lists.

Well tolerated
No meaningful concern for most people; irritation is possible but rare.
Worth knowing
EU-restricted, a common contact allergen, or subject to live debate.
What the levels mean ↗

Names without a link have no encyclopaedia entry yet, so we make no claim about them beyond the count.

The 9 side by side

9 of the 89 brands in the catalogue hold 5 masks or more, which is the floor at which a shelf says something a filter could not. The other 80 are still in the catalogue and out of this table: 67 of them hold one or two masks, and 50 hold exactly one, and a median over one product is not a median.
