The best-decoded shelf here

MISSHA face masks

Seven sheet masks, and the shelf this site can read furthest into: the encyclopaedia has an entry for a median of 91% of each list, the highest of the nine shelves here against a catalogue median of 76%. It is also the only brand in the catalogue holding three masks or more on which not one mask is clear of our pregnancy flag - which is a reason to read the list, never a verdict on the mask.

This is not MISSHA’s page and it is not affiliated with them. It is every MISSHA mask we hold, read from the back of the pack - the name is used to identify the products, and nothing here is paid for, sponsored or an affiliate link.

The short read

  • Ginger root extract is on 6 of the 7 lists here and on 11 of the 215 overall; coptis japonica root extract on 6 and 15; sodium carbomer on 4 here and on 4 in the whole catalogue, so every mask that prints it is on this shelf.

  • Six of the seven carry at least one essential oil, the highest share of the nine shelves here - and yet four of the seven are fragrance-free and only one prints Parfum.

  • Two of the seven declare a fragrance allergen by name. Six of the seven are free of a drying alcohol, and one of the seven is recorded vegan.

  • The median application costs €1.75, exactly the catalogue's median, over a range of €1.75 to €2.33 - the narrowest spread of the nine shelves here after Selfie Project's, and none of it estimated.

  • The lists run a median of 25 entries against the catalogue's 26, so the shelf is unremarkable on length and unusual on how much of that length we can name.

What these lists print that others do not

Not the most common ingredients - water is on nearly every list ever written and tells you nothing about who formulated the mask. These are the entries that appear far more often here than across the 215 masks as a whole, counted by encyclopaedia entry rather than by printed name. A shelf this size makes coincidences cheap, so nothing appears below that is on fewer than four of these lists.

Well tolerated
No meaningful concern for most people; irritation is possible but rare.
Depends on you
Genuinely relevant for some people, or depends on dose and pH.
What the levels mean ↗

Names without a link have no encyclopaedia entry yet, so we make no claim about them beyond the count.

The 9 side by side

9 of the 89 brands in the catalogue hold 5 masks or more, which is the floor at which a shelf says something a filter could not. The other 80 are still in the catalogue and out of this table: 67 of them hold one or two masks, and 50 hold exactly one, and a median over one product is not a median.
