The Beauty Mask Company
Bubble Glow Tuchmaske Crazy Cactus
€1.15
The fizz is chemistry, not magic: disodium cocoamphodiacetate and cocamidopropyl betaine at five and six are mild foaming surfactants, and the disiloxane in third place is the volatile silicone that carries them. Prickly pear flower, lotus root and coconut juice sit far down. Only the second bubble mask in this catalogue, and much the cheaper of the two.
What stands out in the list
Worked out from the ingredients, not the packaging claims.
Contains fragrance
Listed as Parfum/Fragrance, which can stand for dozens of undisclosed aroma chemicals. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of cosmetic contact allergy.
Exfoliating acids
Contains Lactic Acid. Use sunscreen the following day; EU law caps these.
No drying alcohol
No ethanol, alcohol denat. or isopropyl alcohol in the list. Fatty alcohols such as cetearyl alcohol are not drying and do not count.
Nothing flagged for pregnancy
No ingredient on this list is one our encyclopaedia marks as avoided or used with caution in pregnancy. That is not the same as a clearance, so check with your midwife or doctor.
