Balea

AHA & BHA Tuchmaske

A budget single-use sheet mask soaked in a glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid serum, aimed at loosening dead cells and clearing congestion.

What stands out in the list

Worked out from the ingredients, not the packaging claims.

  • Drying alcohol, high in the list

Alcohol Denat appears at position 4, so it is a major part of the formula. Expect a fast, matte finish and possible tightness on dry or reactive skin.

  • Exfoliating acids

Contains Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid. Use sunscreen the following day; EU law caps these (Salicylic Acid: EU max 2% (most face products, incl. masks); 3% (rinse-off hair); 0.5% (body lotion, eye/lip make-up, roll-on deodorant); 0.5% when used as a preservative).

  • 2 concentration-capped ingredients

EU law sets a maximum for Sodium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid. Products on sale in the EU must comply.

  • 1 ingredient flagged for pregnancy

Salicylic Acid is usually avoided or used with caution during pregnancy. This is what the ingredient entries say, not medical advice, so ask your midwife or doctor.

  • No fragrance or declared allergens

Nothing in the list is Parfum/Fragrance or an EU-declared fragrance allergen.

  • Barrier-supporting actives

Contains Panthenol, ingredients with reasonable evidence for calming and supporting the skin barrier.
