The list has 31 entries, and the four that follow Aqua are all oils or fatty esters: Coco-Caprylate/Caprate second, Squalane third, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil fourth and Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil fifth. Glycerin does not appear until nine. Aroma is at eighteen, with Citronellol at twenty-five, Geraniol at twenty-seven, Citral at twenty-eight and Linalool at thirty. The brand's named Defensil Plus complex is a Cardiospermum extract, blackcurrant seed oil and a sunflower-oil concentrate, and the list declares Ribes Nigrum Seed Oil at nineteen, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil at twenty-four and Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower/Leaf/Vine Extract at twenty-six. What stands out in the list
Worked out from the ingredients, not the packaging claims.
Contains fragrance
Listed as Parfum/Fragrance, which can stand for dozens of undisclosed aroma chemicals. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of cosmetic contact allergy.
5 declared fragrance allergens
EU law requires these to be named on the pack: Benzyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral, Linalool.
1 ingredient capped from 1 January 2027
EU law sets a maximum for Citral that products must comply with from 1 January 2027.
1 ingredient flagged for pregnancy
Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract is usually avoided or used with caution during pregnancy. This is what the ingredient entries say, not medical advice, so ask your midwife or doctor.
No drying alcohol
No ethanol, alcohol denat. or isopropyl alcohol in the list. Fatty alcohols such as cetearyl alcohol are not drying and do not count.

- Banned in EU cosmetics or credibly linked to serious harm.
- Not yet documented
- No encyclopaedia entry for this ingredient yet, so we make no claim about it.

How to use it
Apply to cleansed facial skin, avoiding the eye area. After 10 to 15 minutes, massage in gently; the brand says the mask is taken up by the skin rather than rinsed off. The brand suggests once or twice a week.
