THALGO
Klärende Intensiv-Maske
€38.00
Thalgo built its name on marine actives and the list keeps the promise: serrated wrack eighth, Haematococcus pluvialis - the microalga astaxanthin comes from - ninth, and sea water tenth, all sitting directly behind kaolin. The blue in the jar is CI 42090, near the end. Expensive for 40 ml, and the clay is the cheap part.
What stands out in the list
Worked out from the ingredients, not the packaging claims.
Contains fragrance
Listed as Parfum/Fragrance, which can stand for dozens of undisclosed aroma chemicals. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of cosmetic contact allergy.
Contains drying alcohol
Alcohol appears at position 27, well down the list, so the amount is likely small.
1 concentration-capped ingredient
EU law sets a maximum for CI 42090. Products on sale in the EU must comply.
Nothing flagged for pregnancy
No ingredient on this list is one our encyclopaedia marks as avoided or used with caution in pregnancy. That is not the same as a clearance, so check with your midwife or doctor.
